YIBinS aims to use sports as the main catapulting agent in interconnecting structures and/or stakeholders within the community or network into working cross-sectorally to optimally facilitate the social inclusion, equal opportunities and integration of youth with migrant background into society.

About

This is an Erasmus+ Sport: Support to Collaborative Partnerships which is funded to run from 01/01/2019 – 31/12/2020. There are 6 European partners involved in this project from Finland, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Sweden working on:

Cross-sectoral collaboration

targeting to equal opportunities and social inclusion gets a strong development impulse through this project as this holistic collaborative approach has been almost totally ignored in research and experiments;

Making integration of YIB’s

Making integration of YIB’s to society a lot easier as the educational aspect is taken into a consideration in early stage of social inclusion by stakeholders;

Employability of YIB’s through recruitment services

of migrants into sports organizations (also companies) as volunteers, coaches, interns etc.

Our main goals are:

E

Advancing equal opportunities and enhance social inclusion

which includes integration/wellbeing, education, active citizenship, employment and networking path, of YIB’s using sports as the main tool (low threshold, removing obstacles, open to everyone, two-way integration).

E

Strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration of grassroot level stakeholders multilaterally

municipal sport services, associations (sport clubs, other multicultural sport related associations) and educational institutions.

“Sport can facilitate the integration into society of migrants and persons of foreign origin as well as support inter-cultural dialogue. Sport promotes a shared sense of belonging and participation and may therefore also be an important tool in the integration of immigrants.”
